| CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF HEADLINES |

August 2007 marks the 27th anniversary of Headlines Hairdresing.
The business was founded in Wickford 27 years ago with the Billeraicay salon opening three years later. It wsn't until January 2005 that the third and fourth salons were opened in Shenfield and Rayleigh.
We now have a fantastic team of over 100 highly skilled staff - very different form the early days when it was just Simon Harris & Jenny Dale plus 2 juniors. The first Wickford salon was at the back of the High Street; we moved to our current premises two years later.
During 2003 we spent over £200,000 on refurbishing the Billericay and Wickford salons; creating the modern yet welcoming environment that you see today. Our latest refurbishement programme to be completed is the Rayleigh salon, which underwent a 'back to the brick' refurbishment in February this year.
Simon became the sole owner of the business in 2000 following the retirement of business partner Jenny Dale, who still works in the salons. In 2002 the role of Communications Director was filled by Simon's wife, Gabby.
She said "All the staff, especially Simon and Jenny, are very proud of the history associated with Headlines."
"The business has grown over the past 27 years, but we have never lost sight of what is really important - offering great value and customer service to all our clients."
With numerous industry and local business awards gathered over the years, Headlines has proved to be one of the best local salons in the country and amongst our proudest moments were winning a National Training Award (Eastern Region) and being the first hairdressers in the country to gain the IiP Leadership and Management Award.
