Stylist
All Headlines Stylists have been hairdressing for a minimum of three years, learning as they go to qualify for the nationally recognised NVQ level 2 standard or more. They have also passed every module of the award-winning Headlines Training Programme, putting all this knowledge to work.
Senior Stylist
After five years minimum experience, our Senior Stylists have an established client base and a reputation for quality work at all levels. They’re highly knowledgeable about our services and products, and very skilled in dealing with all hair types for current and classic looks.
Premium Stylist
After seven years, and promotion to Premium Stylist, many staff also move into a more managerial role. They will certainly be a highly accomplished and creative hairstylist and may be part of our training team. A large client base and excellent client retention can often sometimes mean a wait for new appointments.
Colourist
Just like our stylists, Colourists have a minimum of three years experience, with qualification to NVQ level 2 and completion of the Headlines Training Programme. Having chosen to specialise in colour, they have the experience and technical ability to provide the perfect look for you and your lifestyle.
Senior Colourist
The knowledge and expertise that comes with five years experience in hair colour cannot be underestimated. Our Senior Colourists are perfectly equipped to handle the more advanced colouring techniques.
Style Director
Staff in this category will have a significant amount of hairdressing experience They will almost certainly be Managers, they will have a large client base, and usually be key members of the training team-almost 100% of their clients will be regular repeat business.

colour specialist/director
At Headlines, promotion to Colour Specialist not only rewards outstanding skills in colour application and correction. 'It also recognises their highly acclaimed achievements of gaining the L'Oreal Colour Degreee, Wella Mater Colour Award and more recently them working towards the Schwarzkopf Advanced Master Colourist Award', making our colour specialist amongst the most highly qualified and knowledgeable in the UK.
